The agency and advertising landscape is in flux – but where some see disruption, others see opportunity. These are the game changers, industry shapers, and trailblazers. Introducing our new ‘Out Of Office’ series, where we interview agency leaders about what’s next.
In this episode, Annette King, CEO of Publicis Groupe, meets Matt Bush, Google’s Managing Director of Agencies & Partners, in the leafy surroundings of Petersham Nurseries in London.
Watch to see how one of advertising’s top minds is embracing creativity, introducing mental health training and putting people first across the business.
3 key take-aways from Annette:
- Mental health should be a top priority
We’ve put a lot of effort and resources into a cross-group mental health program so that people have places to go and resources they can turn to. In a business like ours, at the end of the day, it’s always going to be about the people. - Flexible working can work
Most creative people have a story about how they came up with an idea in their sleep, or in the shower, or on a run. A lot of the legwork needs to be done in the office, but inspiration can strike at any point. The reality is, though, that most people don’t want to work from home all the time. They’re in this business because they enjoy being with other people. - Data drives creativity
The big ideas are always going to come from humans, but people are generally realising that data can be used to drive creativity in a number of different ways.
